The First Word is the Hardest went straight in at Number 12 in the UK Indie Chart, and Number 66 in the physical chart. Now that has made us vary happy indeed. A huge thank you to everyone who bought it, and everyone who helped make it happen. The single is taken from Four Day Hombre's forthcoming debut album Experiments in Living (Released 13-Mar-2006). It is available to Pre-Order now

What's the best thing about Mondays? Single releases of course! This particular Monday is extra special because Four Day Hombre release the second single The First Word is the Hardest from their hotly anticipated debut album Experiments in Living. (Released 13-Mar-2006) However, we don't recommend you buy a copy. We recommend you buy several copies. The single is available on CD and vinyl, each with different artwork and a different b-side. The vinyl comes with a hand-written lyric from the song on a natty little insert. The CD comes with the positively refulgent (coo, listen to her) video on it, and a rather revealing 'the making of' photo-diary. You can listen online, or don headphones at your favorite HMV listening post, where the single currently has pride of place. (Available in any good multimedia outlet, be it online or on the highstreet darling.)

When Leonard Cohen sang about "workers in song", he gave us a line that screams out to be used when describing Four Day Hombre. Except that it says nothing about their videos. FDH are quickly establishing themselves as acclaimed "workers in...erm...audiovisual". To coincide with the release of their second single The First Word Is The Hardest (13-Feb-2006), they have brought us not one, but TWO cinematic offerings. You can watch both online now. The First Word video has been snapped up by MTV and will come as a bonus track on the CD single (unfortunately not on the vinyl). The First Word Live video was recorded at Leeds City Varieties (September 2005) and features a version of Kate Bush's Running Up That Hill, hopefully to be part of a DVD release later in the year.

After completing a hugely successful tour of the UK, Four Day Hombre have been invited to do a Live Session on The Janice Long Show on Radio 2.

You can enjoy a midnight feast and devour the show live between 12am - 12:30am on the evening of the 7th Feb, or, how did we ever live without it.... Listen Again.

Four Day Hombre's second single The First Word is the Hardest will be released on 13/02/2006. It will be available as CD, Limited Edition Vinyl and Digital Download. The vinyl will be numbered (run of 1000) and include a hand written insert with a lyric from the song.

The debut album Experiments in Living will follow on 13/03/2006.
